Tenancy deposit protection
How to protect a tenant’s deposit the right way.
In short
- Protect the deposit in a government-approved scheme within 30 days.
- Give tenants the ‘prescribed information’ within 30 days.
- Return the deposit within 10 days of agreeing how much is due back.
